Our mission is to empower students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while building the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with behavioral challenges.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes respect, self-control, and academic growth.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Provide emotional support and help students develop appropriate social and emotional skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure success.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes.
- Attend and participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and other training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education Preferred.
- A Valid Nebraska teaching certification
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and positive demeanor in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to a variety of teaching and behavioral needs.
