At ESU2 Independent School, we are dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with behavioral challenges. Our mission is to empower students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while building the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with behavioral challenges.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes respect, self-control, and academic growth.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
• Provide emotional support and help students develop appropriate social and emotional skills.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure success.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes.
• Attend and participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and other training opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education Preferred.
• A Valid Nebraska teaching certification
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and positive demeanor in challenging situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to a variety of teaching and behavioral needs.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
