This role is pivotal in supporting both the marketing and design needs, ensuring smooth operations, and executing tasks that leverage creative skills alongside organizational abilities.
Marketing and Graphic Design Responsibilities
- Designing Marketing Materials: Create visual content, including brochures, flyers, digital ads, social media graphics, and email campaigns, aligning with brand guidelines.
- Develop and implement a newsletter strategy
- Content Creation: Assist in developing marketing content and promotional materials, both print and digital, to support marketing campaigns.
- Develop content (Web, print, PPT and other) that best conveys key messages and meets business goals of organization.
- Website and Social Media Management: Update website content, ensuring it’s current and engaging, and help manage social media accounts, including content creation and analytics monitoring.
- Develop and manage content to the organization’s current and future social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and emerging networks).
- Initiative Assistance: Provide support for marketing initiatives from the conceptualization stage to execution, including data analysis and reporting on program effectiveness.
- Brand Compliance: Ensure all marketing and organizational materials are in line with the ESU2 mission, identity, voice, and guidelines.
- Propose and implement communication and marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This includes collaboration with the organization’s leadership as well as other cross-functional teams.
- Basic Photography and Videography: Assist with the capture and editing of photos and videos for marketing purposes, depending on skill level.
- Design, implement and evaluate all marketing needs of the ESU # 2/Team ACCESS events in partnership with respective departments.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Supplier Liaison:Communicate with printers, suppliers, and other external vendors to get quotes, place orders, and manage deliveries for marketing materials.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of marketing material inventory, including promotional items, and reorder supplies as necessary.
- Document and File Management:Organize and maintain digital and physical files related to marketing projects and campaigns for easy access and retrieval.
- Meeting Preparation: Prepare materials needed for meetings, including presentations, reports, and agendas.
- Budget Tracking: Assist with tracking marketing expenditures and processing invoices to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Research: Conduct research to support marketing strategies, including customer feedback.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties as required, including answering phones, responding to emails, data entry, and other tasks to support the marketing and design teams.
Skills and abilities:
- Entry-level position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred but not required
- Superior communications skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
- Excellent skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, working with databases and internet research
- Multimedia production skills in video editing, animation, and web design.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines while maintaining the flexibility necessary to adapt, respond, and meet organizational needs
