Occupational Therapists provide services to eligible students, age birth to 21.

Service provision in the educational setting may be through direct treatment but is most effective within the classroom or home in collaboration with parents and teachers.

The focus of educational services is to promote functional independence and/or participation and ensure access within the educational environment. The school therapist's role is to assist in the educational process of enhancing the student's performance.

Educational therapy services are not intended to satisfy the medical needs of a student and therefore may not meet the total therapy needs of the student.
