ESU2’s occupational therapists work with identified individuals from birth to age twenty one, the school therapist’s role is to assists in the educational process of enhancing student performance. They help provide interventions for those identified individuals in their areas of difficulty as well as collaborate with parents and teachers on effective strategies to assist their child or student. The focus of educational services is to promote functional independence and ensure access within the educational environment. Educational therapy services are not intended to satisfy the medical needs of a student and therefore may not met the total therapy needs of the student.
