State Explains Changes
in Perkins Four
Administrators and staff members met on Monday, May 5th and discussed changes in the new Perkins Grant. Three state department officials (Katt, Jacobs & Johnson) met with ESU 2 schools and explained the changes in the grant process as schools now have to create a five year plan. Schools must also either affiliate with an ESU, Community College or have over $15,000 in grant funds.
The reporting system will
also change for this year. Data will be reported through NSSRS templates and will
connect with data already reported through the NSSRS system.
Terminology for classifying students and programs were explained.
