- “Samples of Informative Writing Prompts,” http://www.mde.k12.ms.us/acad/osa/infwrite.htm This one is just as it sounds, from the Mississippi Department of Education.
- “Writing Fix” http://writingfix.com/ I highly recommend this site for a huge selection of writing prompts, even divided up by the six traits! And for the child that has writer’s block, this website also provides an “Interactive Plot Creator” as well as downloadable pre-writing activities
