Start your First Year off with a Bang with Mentoring Training!
The role of a mentor is to promote growth and development within the budding teacher to better improve their students’ learning.
Though new to the school, program, and community, new teachers are handed programs and plans that they are expected to use to make an impact on their students learning, also immediately after stepping down their new career path. Leaning on the job has been a necessity.
However, ESU 2 will be offering Mentoring Training workshops that will aid in the success of these new teachers as they move into their first year of teaching. Mentors will not only lend both emotional and collegial supports, but teachers will have the opportunity to enhance both their planning and instructing. Walking away from the workshop, new teachers should feel better prepared and arm with the content knowledge to kick off their first year the right way!
